Dr. Kumi Masuda from the mural paintings Japanese team arrived on the 11th of February, and started meetings with the Egyptian team to make a detailed condition check in order to finalize the conservation plan. They continued the work in EM(the Egyptian Museum, Tahrir), opening showcases of the target artifacts thanks to the cooperation of EM curator Ms. Rania, and EM Director Ms. Sabah, as well as the Conservation Director Mr. Moemen and EM conservators, not to mention the interpreter Dr. Afaf who facilitated communication between both teams.
The team did a detailed visual examination to get more information about its current condition on which the first treatment plan will be based.
They expressed their great excitement to continue work and their anticipation for the future work.
