On Wednesday 11th of July, the GEM-JC conservation experts and project office members had a meeting to discuss the importance of procurement management. The team discussed the procurement process regarding each lab’s stock check, ordering of materials, and the duration of shipment. They also discussed how long some materials might take to be shipped to the GEM and how they can overcome any challenges they face regarding the shipment of highly specialized materials from abroad. We shall continue working together on ordering all the important materials needed for the conservation work. Hoping it would contribute in achieving the overall goal for the Grand Egyptian Museum Conservation Center to be one of the world’s top-leading conservation institutes.
